Request for Information (RFI)
Savannah River Nuclear Solutions, LLC (SRNS), which manages and operates portions of the Savannah River Site (SRS) under a Department of Energy (DOE) prime contract, seeks information from parties capable of performing fire detection and alarm system installation and upgrades.
The SRS complex is located approximately 15 miles south of Aiken, South Carolina and is 310 contiguous square miles. The site includes multiple tenants, including the Department of Energy-Savannah River Operations Office (DOE-SR) and the Savannah River Research Campus (SRRC) which is offsite.
Scope Summary
SRS intends to replace multiple existing obsolete fire alarm panels and their associated infrastructure using an SRNS provided design with a contractor execution approach. SRS is interested in companies to provide labor, materials, and services required to complete these fire alarm panel replacements/upgrades. Interested companies should have significant experience with installation and upgrade of a wide range of commercial fire alarm systems and smoke detection solutions from all manufacturers. Interested companies should have a proven record of quality performance by NICET certified personnel while meeting schedule and budgetary commitments.
Additional Information
Work execution would be in accordance with SRNS generated design output documentation and applicable national codes and standards (e.g., NFPA 72 National Fire Alarm and Signaling Code; NFPA 70 National Electric Code; NFPA 101 Life Safety Code, International Building Code, etc.).
Infrastructure associated with the fire alarm panel replacements/upgrades typically includes wiring, cables, raceway, conduit, pull stations, smoke detectors, horn/strobe assemblies, etc.
