The Town of Surfside Beach is seeking proposals for insurance coverage for the Town of Surfside Beach Fishing Pier located at 11 Ocean Blvd South, Surfside Beach, SC. The Town owns a newly constructed concrete pier expected to be finished in the Spring of 2023. The buildings are metal frame with Everlast Siding. The complex includes three buildings, a ramp, deck, and fishing pier.
The approximate square feet (SF) of the complex:
Building A Restaurant 2 floors: Restaurant 2,160, SF Storage 1,665 SF
Building B Retail Shop 2 floors: Retail 616 SF, Storage 443 SF Bait Shop
Building C Retail Shop 2 floors: Retail 767 SF, Storage 355 SF Ice Cream Shop
Building C Retail Shop 2 floors: Retail 1,335 SF, Storage 1,403 SF TBD
Pier 14,742 SF
Deck 1,500 SF
Ramp 816 SF
Parking Lot 24,400 SF
The Lessee assumes risk for contents of rented spaces.
Town is requesting proposals for General Liability Insurance.
General Limit $2,000,000 / Aggregate Limit $1,000,000 / Personal Limit $1,000,000
Each Occurrence Limit $1,000,000 / Fire Damage $100,000 / Medical Expenses $5,000
Town is requesting proposals for Commercial Property Insurance for three buildings, ramp, deck, fishing pier.
If possible, include Wind, Hail and Flood Coverage.
Proposals shall be made in writing and submitted to the Town of Surfside Beach,
210 U.S. Highway 17 South, Surfside Beach, SC 29575 by March 10, 2023 by 2:00 pm Eastern time. Late submittals will not be accepted. Please mark on the outside of the sealed envelope “Pier Insurance RFP”.
