The 20th Contracting Squadron intends to issue a sole-source procurement action with Stolberger Inc. (DBA Wardwell Braiding Co.) for the procurement of the following item: B10-32H Carrier Harness Braider (one each) - Vertical axis operation, direct drive with AC motor. Magnetic switch mounted on guard cover for operator’s safety. For electrical wire harness application. Motor and controls to be wired per customer’s specifications. With motorized Capstan Take-up to control the braid coverage. This requirement is accomplished in accordance with FAR Part 13.106-1(b)(1) Soliciting from a Single Source. Wardwell Braiding Co. has been identified by Aircraft Item Managers and Special Project Officers as the sole authorized distributor of these assets and approved by the Air Force Materiel Command (AFMC) HQ Command Program. The Wardwell braiding machine is the standard braiding machine used across the Air Force in Aircraft E/E shops. Furthermore, Technical Order 1-1A-14 list the Wardwell machine specifically. This is a notice of intent to award a sole source procurement action and is not a request for competitive proposals.
