The City of Greenville is requesting sealed bids from qualified contractors for a portion of the Academy Street Bypass project. The construction limits of this project extend approximately 900 feet in length between the access ramp onto Academy Street from Central Avenue and College Street (SC-183.) The proposed scope of work includes traffic control, street resurfacing, grading, curb and gutter, drainage, concrete sidewalk, concrete median construction, traffic signal removal, landscaping and new pavement markings.

Construction plans include a summary of estimated quantities sheet, a roadway, drainage, and traffic signal removal plan sheet, a temporary traffic plan sheet, and a pavement marking and signing plan sheet. These additional documents will be available on the Bid Postings section of the City of Greenville’s website.

There will be a MANDATORY pre-bid conference on Tuesday, May 30, 2023 from 3:00 – 4:00 p.m.; meeting location is City Hall, 9 ^th Floor Conference Room, 206 S. Main St., Greenville, SC 29601.

Bids will be received until 2:00 P.M. ET, June 20, 2023. Promptly thereafter, via Microsoft Teams teleconference, all bids that have been duly received will be opened and read aloud. The deadline for questions is 2:00 p.m., June 14, 2023.
